About Coach Joel

What coaching can do for you?

Here are some of the benefits you’ll receive from getting a coach.

A new perspective on your life. Whatever you’re doing, you can get a new perspective on that. A coach is trained to look at things more objectively and to think out of the box. It’s difficult to look at your own situation objectively. And a coach will see it from a more empowering perspective and share that with you.

A support partner. A coach wants you to win and be successful. A coach will give you moral support, constructive feedback, useful information and tips, encouragement.

Someone you can confide in. You may not be able or feel comfortable talking about concerns or sensitive issues with the people in your life or work. But it’s important to talk about them with someone you trust to get clarity and resolution. A coach is trained to be non-judgmental and to be a good listener. Even just talking things out can make a big difference. A coach will also help you find the best way to handle situations.

A brainstorming partner. A coach will help you think outside the box and come up with new solutions to challenges. It's easier to be creative when you're working with a supportive partner. And the coach can also be a sounding board for the ideas you're considering.

Help with goals. Most people don't excel in setting goals, much less achieving them. A coach will help you choose meaningful goals and make consistent progress toward their achievement. There is little that can compare with the satisfaction of finally achieving a goal that is important to you.

Accountability. Most people are good at starting but not so good at finishing things. A coach will help you stay on track toward your goals and will help you do what you say you’ll do. This will be done in a supportive way that works best for you. Different people need different kinds of support, and a coach will determine what is best for you and give you the reminders and help you in whatever ways work for you. If you still have difficulty being accountable, the coach will help you find out what is really going on and help you find a different approach.
